Met Gala Reminiscing

In honour of the Met Gala being cancelled this year because of Coronavirus I've seen everyone is sharing their favourite past Met looks. Some people have created the #MetGalaChallenge to create their own, at home, Met Gala looks.

I decided to create my own visual, inspired by the past looks of the Met Gala with the photography taken my Daniel Arnold.

Daniel Arnold's documentary photography using 35mm film is astonishing. Normally, capturing real life situations in the city of New York, going to the Met Gala and capturing some of the worlds biggest celebrities is completely different for his work.

But, he beautifully manages to capture the celebrities in a 'normal' way. Having 'normal' conversations with each other and enrapturing the true beauty of real life moments. Pure expressions on their faces, candids of them off guard. And of course not forgetting the glitz and the glam of the Met Ball itself!

Hopefully we will be able to see the return, bigger and better, of the Met Gala next year. Until then though I will still keep reminiscing like I was there (or I ever will get there) myself...
