Looking back on the whole of this year and trying to think about what my favourite trends of the year are is hard, the year went by so quickly but felt like such a blur because so much has happened.

There's been trends I've loved, trends I've hated, trends I loved but then became so common that I grew to hate.

I'm going to start off by listing the trends I hate, get the negativity and hatred vibes out the way first! Then we can move onto the stuff I love...

Hates

  • Neon rave outfits

  • Fila disruptors

  • 3M Reflective shite

  • Bubble fur

PSA: please please, all basic bitches can you man stop wearing all of these items or just stay in your house.

Loves

  • Suits

  • Fashionable tracksuits

  • Chunky trainers

  • 90's shoulder bags

I think my all-time favourite trend of 2019 was that tracksuits came back, the amount of money I spent on tracksuits last year instead of what I'd normally spend on normal trousers is immense.

For someone that love comfort this is the best thing that could have happened, an expensive, well made, branded tracksuit can look so good with some chunky trainers.

Walking around in public in a tracksuit is now not "oh wow look she hasn't made an effort", it's, "wow she looks so comfy and so fuckin good mate can I be her". Lol. That's what I'm hoping people think when I go out in trackies anyway...

The chunky trainer... a very debatable topic. We have the good the bad and the downright ugly (FILAS FILAS FILAS). But I have to say I love, most, of them. A few of my faves are the Burberry Arthur, Balenciaga Triple S (styled right), Jimmy Choo F's and a more cheaper price point Nike Tekno's.

I also have to admit that I don't think the Alexander McQueen chunkies are half bad, but the way they have been adopted by your towns skinny jean wearing, rose tattoo- ridden, orange gobbed white boys whos legs are skinnier than the chunk of the trainer, it really ruins it.

And on the other hand I think McQueen would be turning in his grave at the sight of the people seen wearing the trainers and be repulsed that Sarah Burton let them be designed and then sold.

2019 had a lot of questionable trends which sadly I don't think will be left in 2019. Dino stompers and neon outfits in the rave are here to stay but I'm just glad I haven't committed said crimes myself.
